Art Trade for me :) read it!!! → mangabullet.com

A short AkaRio fic that I got as a result of an art trade. Love it!!
here’s a sample:

“Rahvnastre Hall: the oldest community theatre in the city. Open auditions were being held for The Fall of Divinia, an epic romantic tragedy written by one of the volunteer directors. Akari was excited, albeit a little shy, to try her hand at acting. It was all in good fun. Even though she knew that, the idea of performing in front of others still made her just a bit anxious. The head director, and creator of the play, pointed out the basic blocking for Akari to familiarize herself with. The white haired girl looked up to the director.

“Excuse me, but when are the other actors coming?” she asked, holding the script up to her chest.
“Hm? Actors? Oh! Oh dear me, yes.” The older woman laughed. The action lightened the tense atmosphere. She placed a hand on the young girl’s shoulder. “I completely forgot. They’ll be here soon, my dear. Go, go to the stage. She calls you.”

Akari nodded and walked away from the director. She was eager to get started, but she wanted to meet the others. She hadn’t stayed when the auditions were over. She was so excited she got her part that she ran home. Classic, excitable Akari. The costume coordinator pushed away the drawn stage curtains and made his way over to the white haired girl.

“We want to try the costumes early. We’ve a couple of drafts, but we want you to try the one we have now,” he said, taking her hand.
Akari nodded and smiled gently. “Okay!”

They walked backstage together. Akari’s bright green eyes glanced over the backstage. She had never come back here before. She was always a spectator. The experience made her heart flutter. It was overwhelming in a way she never imagined. She clenched her script with her free hand. The costume director walked away from her when they reached the women’s dressing room. There were a few other actresses who were leaving as she entered. The seamstress and her two assistants were busy with another actress. One of the assistants, whose hair was high in a messy bun, found an important accessory and raced out of the room, calling for one of the actresses on her way out. Akari watched, a smile on her face. The smile, however, vanished when she heard the familiar voice.”
